Patience required

All areas of photography seem to have a skill one must rely on to really excel and wildlife photography is no different. As I’ve been spending more time outdoors capturing my local wildlife, I've been more intentional in sitting, waiting, and appreciating the balance of nature.

So much time is waiting and questioning whether you should leave and pursue action in another location. Sometimes you win out and the calm environment quickly changes in the form the an adult eagle swooping down off a high branch to grab a quick meal. In a matter of seconds the environment returns to it's calm state and the eagle is gone with it's catch.

Eagles are likely to be a regular appearance until March when osprey images will soon follow.

The images below are not in the sequence in which they occurred.

Enjoy.
